Salerno is one of the most beautiful cities in Campania, bathed by a wonderful sea, it offers tourists and residents art, beauty and history. Even prehistory tells us of Etruscan settlements here, right where Salerno stands today, later the territory was occupied by the Samnites, to then arrive at the Roman Empire period. The archaeological finds tell of a thriving city, and the history of this city is very long and passes through the barbarian invasions to the arrival of the Byzantines and the influence of Greek civilization. Visiting Salerno is one of the most complete experiences thanks to the many interesting aspects and nuances that can be found here.

VIETRI SUL MARE

The Amalfi coast is one of the most desired destinations by millions of tourists every year; it is in this corner of paradise that Vietri sul Mare is found, a Unesco World Heritage Site for its beauties and for the art of ceramics. Between the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno there are marvelous tourist resorts of rare beauty: Amalfi, Atrani, Cava de' Tirreni, Cetara, Conca dei Marini, Maiori, Minori, Praiano, Positano, Raito, Ravello, Sant'Egidio del Monte Albino, Scala, Tramonti and Vietri sul Mare. The history of Vietri sul Mare dates back to Etruscan times, and thanks to its strategic position, it soon became an important commercial center. The village is very characteristic, the historic center is full of souvenir and ceramic shops. The beauty of these places is impressive, the area, in fact, is rich in citrus groves and extensive green areas.

Both from Salerno and from Vietri sul mare it is possible to reach many other very interesting places in a short time, both by car and by public transport. One of the most popular destinations is the Amalfi coast with its picturesque towns such as Atrani, Positano, Conca dei Marini and Amalfi itself. For those who are passionate about history, however, the area offers unique sites such as the archaeological parks of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Paestum. In our region, beyond the sea, there is no shortage of mountains and uncontaminated nature that reigns supreme in the Cilento National Park. Certainly not to be missed is Vesuvius and the path of the Gods on the Lattari mountains.
